ancient wings

so by now you've joined the league, or are considering, and you're wondering about the league's title archaeopteryx. follow the link and you should find some helpful information. if that is not enough here is the semantic explanation from chris:

Archaeopteryx...Yes, an avian dinosaur with feathers. Well, I believe it is the classic link between dinosaurs and modern day birds. And I believe John Ostrom would help me argue that fact. Just as it is a link to ancient beasts and modern ones, it could also be a link to the more traditional football of the past and modern one, with all its flashy ways and high-priced model girlfriends, not to mention the integral part the Internet a.k.a "technology" plays in our existence. Without it, well..., let us not go there. Instead, let us go drink ale and wine and cheer on our favorite sides just as the ancient beasts did in their version of our Olympic games.

there are many days to follow before the first official day of play on august 19th. i'll try and keep this blog updated weekly or as best i can. here's what you can count on finding here and using this blog for:

1. info about transfers
2. line-up changes
3. other premier league information & commentary
4. discussions, questions, problems, etc.

with the lack of premier league football on television, besides the handful of matches shown on fox soccer channel on saturdays and sundays, many will have to rely on the internet to stay in tune with the premier league. and with so much information out there, it may make your head spin until you ask the question, 'how did i get there?' and simply put, the purpose of this blog is to provide the answer to that question.
